FOODS RECALL

Privacy policy

Clear about the data we use.

Foods Recall is an official-source food recall information service. This policy explains the limited website data used to understand site performance and provide browser-based features.

Information collected by Google Analytics 4

Foods Recall uses Google Analytics 4 with Measurement ID G-D5NT1MDGW5 to understand aggregate use of the site. Standard Google Analytics collection can include page views, session statistics, approximate location, and browser or device information. GA4 may use first-party cookies, including _ga, to distinguish sessions and users.

Our custom analytics events do not send your search terms, UPCs, email address, product details, or the contents of your watchlist. They measure only interaction categories such as a search action, filter selection, result-detail opening, or the number of watchlist selections.

Cookies and choices

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Where consent is required by applicable law, analytics storage should be enabled only after the appropriate consent choice.

Google Analytics uses IP-address information during collection for service operation and approximate geographic reporting; Google states that raw IP addresses are discarded and not logged in GA4. Google’s processing of Analytics data is governed by its own terms and privacy materials.

Local browser storage

If you save a food category to the on-site watchlist, Foods Recall stores that category list in your browser’s local storage under radar-watch. It is not transmitted to our server. You can remove it by clearing the site’s local storage in your browser.

The email field shown in the watchlist interface is not submitted or stored by the current version of this site.

Official recall information

Recall records come from named government sources and are synchronized into the site’s internal data storage. These records are public agency information, not personal information collected from visitors. Each recall detail page links to the official agency notice.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when site features or data practices materially change. The date above identifies the latest revision. See the Editorial Policy for how Foods Recall presents official recall information.

This policy is a practical description of the current site implementation and is not legal advice. Privacy obligations can vary by jurisdiction.
